I have at last finished my 'Scrap Challenge' project. To be honest I am not that satisfied with it as compared to some of the things posted in the Flickr group it is a bit boring! There are some really creative & talented people out there! Nonetheless I have still enjoyed the challenge, the surprise parcel of fabrics is a really great idea.Description
Hello, thank-you for stopping by to take a look at my blog.
Apologies in advance! I am not very disciplined when it comes to this blogging lark so if I seem a little disorganised , or i have not updated it for months, even years.. it is most probably due to my lack of IT skills/ organisation/ lazyness!

Scrap Challenge

My little pack of fabric scraps arrived today for the 'Scrap Challenge' I can't wait to get started!
The object of the challenge was to send off a piece of your favourite fabric , which was then cut down into smaller pieces...these were all mixed up & you receive 10 smaller (different) scraps back...Sorry, I make it sound soooo confusing! You then get 2 weeks to make something, anything out of these pieces....not sure yet what I am going to make! Ideas on a postcard please!.......
All 'vintaged' out

Sorry it's been a little while since I have posted anything, but I do have a valid reason! Honest!!
I promised my friend Annie that I would help her with a couple of Vintage fairs she had booked in to do last weekend, so I took the opportunity to make a few things myself to try & make a few extra pennies (& thought it was about time I made a dent in my overflowing vintage fabric/button stash!)Here are some of the things I made for it......

Japanese 'wrist bags'
<--little vintage fabric cosmetic bags/purses
Vintage button rings with box......>
I really enjoyed doing the fairs, especially getting to talk to loads of new people..I even made a bit of money too!

A wonderful little handmade notecard, a little robot key chain, a little robot pendant AND Mr Roboto himself!!! All the way from Pang. in the USA......He is absolutely gorgeous, far, far better than the piccy shows. Really beautifully crafted-I am one lucky (& very happy!) Swapee!! Please check out Pang's blog here, she has some lovely quirky stuff on her site. Thanks again Pang, hope you will keep in touch. Thanks to Claire too for organising the swap!
